Father-Son Duo Arrested in Dauis Drug Den Raid

In a targeted anti-drug operation, authorities apprehended four individuals, including a father and son, during a raid on a suspected drug den in Dauis, Bohol. The joint operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bohol Provincial Office, Dauis Police Station, and Bohol Maritime Police at approximately 1:46 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Purok 3, Barangay Catarman, Dauis City.

Key Suspects and Arrest Details

PDEA7 Director Joel Plaza identified the primary targets of the operation as a 27-year-old man known by the alias Cyrus, who allegedly managed the drug den, and his 48-year-old father, Fery. Two additional suspects were caught inside the den while allegedly inhaling shabu: a 27-year-old man alias Bryx and a 30-year-old man alias Joe, both residents of Dauis.

Seized Evidence and Market Value

During the raid, law enforcement officers confiscated ten packets of suspected shabu, weighing a total of 16 grams. The estimated average market value of the seized drugs is approximately P108,800. Additionally, authorities recovered buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia from the scene. The evidence has been forwarded to the PNP Bohol Forensic Unit for chemical analysis to confirm the substances.

Investigation and Case Buildup

According to Leia Alcantara, information officer for PDEA 7, the agency spent about a week building the case against the father and son duo after receiving a tip from a confidential informant. Based on gathered intelligence, the suspects were allegedly capable of selling around 25 grams of shabu per week, sourced from their supplier.

Background of the Suspects

Records from the PNP and PDEA 7 indicate that the father and son are newly identified drug personalities. However, one of the other arrestees, alias Bryx, has a prior arrest record but was previously released under a plea bargain agreement. All suspects are currently in custody at the Dauis Municipal Police Station.

Legal Proceedings and Charges

Authorities are preparing to file charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the arrested individuals. This operation underscores ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities in the region, with PDEA and local police collaborating to address such threats.
