Highway Patrol Unit 7 Enhances Operations with New Tech Donation

In a significant boost to law enforcement capabilities, the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 7 (RHPU 7) in the Philippines has received a valuable donation of technology equipment. On Monday, March 2, 2026, the unit was presented with a laptop and a Canon EOS 1500 DSLR camera by its Regional Advisory Council and members of the Triskelion Tigers organization.

Formal Handover and Gratitude

The donation was formally accepted by Police Lieutenant Colonel Wildemar Tiu, the chief of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) 7. During the ceremony, Tiu expressed deep appreciation for the contribution, highlighting its importance in improving the unit's operational efficiency and service delivery. He emphasized that such support plays a crucial role in enhancing community engagement efforts, allowing the patrol unit to better serve and connect with the public.

Previous Contributions and Ongoing Support

This is not the first instance of generous support from the advisory council. Earlier, a Japanese national, in collaboration with the council, donated 25 helmets and 25 Bluetooth intercoms to the HPG 7 personnel. These items were distributed among the officers to aid in their daily duties, demonstrating a consistent pattern of community and organizational backing for the highway patrol's mission.

The new laptop and camera are expected to be utilized in various operational aspects, including documentation, surveillance, and communication tasks. This donation underscores the ongoing partnership between law enforcement agencies and local advisory groups, aimed at strengthening public safety and operational effectiveness in the region.
