In a significant law enforcement operation, police authorities in Iloilo City have successfully apprehended the city's second most wanted person, who is facing multiple charges of cyber libel. The arrest took place in Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo City at approximately 10:25 a.m. on January 28, 2026.

Details of the Arrest and Suspect

The suspect, identified by the aliases Jet or Le Jet, is a 43-year-old gown designer residing in Mandurriao District, Iloilo City. The operation was conducted by a joint team comprising personnel from the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, Iloilo City Police Station 2, the City Intelligence Unit, and the Regional Intelligence Unit in Western Visayas.

Authorities executed the arrest based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 38, Iloilo City on January 26, 2026. The warrant specifies 10 counts of cyber libel, with the court recommending a bail amount of P36,000 for each count, totaling P360,000.

Operation and Legal Proceedings

According to police reports, the arrest followed a coordinated effort involving intelligence gathering and validation, which culminated in the service of the warrant. The suspect, who was listed as Iloilo City's second most wanted person for cyber libel, did not resist arrest. He was promptly informed of the charges against him and his legal rights upon apprehension.

Currently, the arrested individual is detained at Iloilo City Police Station 2, where authorities are handling the proper disposition of his case. This detention ensures that legal procedures are followed meticulously as the investigation progresses.
