Combined operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 and the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) seized approximately P6,784,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The operations also resulted in the arrest of six individuals, including three high-value targets in Cebu City.
Operation in Barangay Kalunasan
The largest haul came from Guadalupe Police Station 9, in coordination with the City Intelligence Unit of the CCPO. Two high-value individuals (HVIs) were arrested at around 11:05 PM in Barangay Kalunasan. The suspects were identified as alias “Abe” and alias “Lian,” both residents of Sitio Kalubihan in the said barangay. Confiscated from them were 875 grams of shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P5,900,000, buy-bust money, and various drug paraphernalia.
Operation in Barangay Suba
Earlier that afternoon at 4:47 PM, the PDEA 7 Regional Special Enforcement Team and Sawang Calero Police Station 6 launched an operation along General Gines Street in Barangay Suba. Arrested at the scene was another high-value target identified as alias Jojo Master, 41. Authorities seized five packs of shabu weighing 120 grams and valued at P816,000. It was learned that Jojo Master had been arrested in 2024 for a similar case but was later dismissed.
Operation in Barangay Labangon
At 8:50 PM, PDEA 7 under the command of Director Joel Plaza raided a drug den in Sitio Kamanggahan, Barangay Labangon. Three individuals were arrested: alias Ontoy, 38, who was identified as the operator of the drug den; alias Bonifacio, 38; and alias Mark, 39. Seized during the operation were six packs of shabu weighing 10 grams, valued at P68,000, and various drug paraphernalia.
All confiscated illegal drugs have been submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit 7 and PDEA 7 Laboratory for chemical analysis.
