PDEA Dismantles Drug Den in Maguindanao del Norte, Seizes P115,600 Worth of Shabu
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao have successfully dismantled a drug den in Sarmiento village, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte. The operation, conducted on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at approximately P115,600.
Details of the Arrests and Seizures
The arrested suspects include three adult males and one female, identified through their aliases as Nhor, 28, the alleged maintainer of the drug den; Ali, 30; Tata, 44; and Datdat, 44, the female suspect. The PDEA-Barmm reported that the operation was a buy-bust, which led to the immediate dismantling of the illicit establishment.
During the raid, authorities confiscated 17 grams of suspected shabu, packed in 21 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, with an estimated street value of P115,600. Additional items seized include:
- Buy-bust money used in the operation
- Assorted drug paraphernalia
- One mobile phone
- An identification card
Legal Proceedings and Collaborative Efforts
The suspects are currently held in temporary custody at the PDEA-Barmm jail facility. Charges are pending for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, highlighting the legal repercussions they face.
