The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 has proudly taken the spotlight after securing high marks in the Philippine National Police (PNP) Unit Performance Evaluation (Uper) system for two consecutive months. This achievement underscores the unit's robust operational standing compared to other regional offices across the Philippines.
Consistent Excellence in Performance Ratings
According to released data, the Central Visayas police force achieved an outstanding score of 88.07 percent in November 2025, followed closely by an 87.91 percent rating in December. These back-to-back high ratings highlight the sustained efforts and effectiveness of PRO 7 in maintaining law and order in the region.
Leadership and Commitment to Standards
Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan, the chief of PRO 7, attributed the strong performance in December to the unit's unwavering enforcement of discipline among personnel, operational effectiveness, and strict adherence to PNP institutional standards. In a statement, Maranan emphasized, "Two Outstanding ratings in a row push us to work harder. We will maintain this momentum and ensure a safer, more secure Region 7."
Factors Behind the High Scores
Under the Uper framework, PRO 7 earned top marks due to its relentless anti-criminality campaigns, professionalism, and moral conduct among police members. Additionally, the unit was recognized for its prompt and accurate submission of reports and compliance with national commands. PRO 7 has pledged to continue its focused operations and strengthen internal discipline, aligning with its mission to deliver quality service throughout the region.
This performance evaluation not only reflects the dedication of the police force but also sets a benchmark for other regional offices to emulate. The consistent high ratings serve as a testament to the hard work and strategic initiatives implemented by PRO 7 to enhance public safety and security in Central Visayas.
