The Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas, known as PRO 8, has officially launched a comprehensive five-day peer mentoring orientation seminar titled Project Kalinga. Held from February 9 to 13, 2026, the face-to-face seminar aims to cultivate a culture of compassion and mutual support among officers. According to regional director Brigadier General Jason Capoy, the program ensures that personnel feel valued and emotionally supported in their demanding duties, which is crucial for effective community service.
Capoy expressed confidence in the project's impact, stating, "I am confident our personnel, guided by trained peer mentors, will continue to serve our communities with dedication and care."
