The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) has officially served the order revoking the gun license of Senator Ronald Dela Rosa. The document was served to Attorney Vicente Adrian Pajaro, the senator's legal representative, on May 28, 2026.
Details of the Revocation Order
According to the PNP-Regional Civil Security Unit 11 (RCSU 11), the Davao City Police Office led the service of the Order of Revocation for the License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms Registrations (FR) of the senator, who is currently in hiding. Davao Region Director PBGen. Leon Victor Z. Rosete stated that the regional office first coordinated with local police to ensure the smooth service of the revocation order.
Legal Representative's Response
Attorney Pajaro accepted the order without incident and promised to discuss the matter with his client. He also committed to coordinating further with law enforcement agencies regarding the firearms of the former Philippine National Police chief.
Status of Firearms
As of now, there is no information on whether the senator's firearms, estimated to be over 100 pieces including shotguns, rifles, handguns, and others, have been returned to the PNP. The revocation order mandates the surrender of all registered firearms under the senator's license.
This development follows earlier legal proceedings involving Senator Dela Rosa, who has been a subject of controversy regarding his firearm registrations. The PRO 11 continues to enforce the order as part of standard regulatory procedures.
