The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported the arrest of three high-value individuals and the confiscation of over PHP 1.1 million worth of shabu in two separate buy-bust operations conducted in Angeles City and Olongapo City.
Angeles City Operation
In Angeles City, operatives from Police Station 2 and the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a suspect known as "Pating" on May 11, 2026. The operation took place beside Lourdes Northwest Elementary School along Kalayaan Street in Barangay Lourdes Northwest. Authorities seized approximately 110 grams of shabu valued at PHP 748,000 from the suspect.
Olongapo City Operation
Meanwhile, in Olongapo City, the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) and Police Station 1 SDEU arrested two individuals identified as "TJ" and "Bert" during a buy-bust operation on May 12, 2026. The operation occurred at the corner of Ardoin Street and 27th Street in Barangay East Bajac-Bajac. Recovered from the suspects were sachets containing around 60 grams of shabu worth PHP 408,000, along with PHP 1,000 in marked money.
Legal Charges
The arrested suspects are facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The successful operations highlight the ongoing efforts of PRO3 to combat illegal drug activities in Central Luzon.
