RDC 7 Urges SC to Build Hall of Justice at SRP

The Regional Development Council in Central Visayas (RDC 7) has approved a resolution requesting the Supreme Court to expedite the construction of a permanent, disaster-resilient Hall of Justice at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.

Meeting Details

The resolution was endorsed during the RDC 7 second quarter full council meeting on June 24, 2026, at the Danao Civic Center in Danao City. The meeting was attended by council members from various local government units and regional line agencies.

Proposed Facility

The proposed judicial complex will be built on a donated lot within the SRP. It aims to serve as a permanent home for local courts, ending the frequent displacement caused by the lack of a stable facility. The structure is designed to withstand earthquakes and other natural hazards, ensuring continuity of judicial services during emergencies.
