PDEA Arrests Two High-Value Drug Suspects in Zamboanga del Sur Operation
In a significant anti-drug operation, authorities from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have successfully apprehended two high-value targets and seized illegal drugs valued at approximately P107,000. The operation took place on Friday, January 30, in Purok Subida, Dao village, located within Pagadian City, the provincial capital of Zamboanga del Sur.
Details of the Arrest and Seizure
The PDEA-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested individuals as alias Bryan, a 21-year-old resident of Purok Bahada, Dao village, and alias Apple, also 21 years old, who lives in Purok Lusaran within the same village. According to official reports, the suspects were captured during a meticulously planned buy-bust operation that occurred around 5:40 p.m. on the specified date.
During the operation, law enforcement agents confiscated a substantial amount of evidence. This included approximately 53 grams of suspected shabu, which was carefully packed into four heat-sealed plastic sachets. The estimated street value of these drugs is P107,000. In addition to the narcotics, authorities recovered a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill, two paper bags, and a metal container, all of which are believed to be connected to the illegal activities.

Following their arrest, the two suspects were promptly detained as part of the legal process. The PDEA has indicated that charges will be filed against them for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, a stringent Philippine law designed to combat drug trafficking and abuse.
