A habal-habal driver tagged as a big-time drug pusher is now behind bars after being arrested in a buy-bust operation on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at around 9:30 p.m. in Purok Mangga 2, Barangay Tayud, Liloan town.
The suspect was identified as James Oliver Isok Quiño, alias “Ding,” 46 years old, married, and a resident of Sitio Lower Casili, Barangay Casili, Consolacion town.
Alias Ding is an ex-convict and listed as a high-value individual (HVI) by the police.
The suspect was arrested through a joint operation conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO), and the Liloan Police Station.
Confiscated from his possession was an estimated 30 grams of suspected shabu valued at P204,000.
According to police monitoring, alias Ding was a notorious figure in the community and allegedly operated an illegal drug trade in the towns of Liloan, Consolacion, and nearby areas.
Upon validation, it was learned that the suspect could sell up to 50 grams of shabu every week.
