Bacolod City Employees to Receive P30,000 CNA Bonus Before Year-End
Bacolod City OKs P45M for P30K Employee Bonus

Employees of the Bacolod City Government are set to receive a significant year-end financial boost. Officials have confirmed that the much-anticipated Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus will be distributed before the close of 2025.

Bonus Timeline and Funding Approved

The City Council has given the green light for the release of the performance-based incentive. Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, who heads the Committee on Appropriation and Finance, stated that the council approved a substantial P45-million appropriation during their regular session on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

This allocation ensures that the P30,000 bonus will be granted to every regular and co-terminus employee of the city. The funds were sourced from various accounts under Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses. Sayson emphasized that this bonus acts as a reward for the staff's excellent performance throughout the year.

Mayor and Governor Confirm Payouts

Mayor Greg Gasataya assured that the bonus will be released once all necessary documents are finalized and signed. He clarified that the CNA bonus is a product of the agreement between the City Government and the Bacolod City Government Employees Union, and it is separate from the mandatory bonuses that employees also receive.

The good news extends beyond the city hall. Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson also announced that employees of the Provincial Government will be receiving the same P30,000 CNA bonus this year. This continues a trend of rewarding public servants, as provincial employees received a total of P55,000 in extra bonuses in 2024, which included the CNA bonus, a Service Recognition Incentive, and a Performance Enhancement Incentive.

A Timely Year-End Incentive

The schedule for the bonus payout is clearly defined. City officials have confirmed that employees will receive their incentive not earlier than December 15, 2025, and not later than December 31, 2025. This timeline ensures that the financial benefit arrives in time for the holiday season, providing additional support for government workers and their families.

The approval of the P45-million fund highlights the local government's commitment to recognizing the hard work of its personnel. This CNA bonus serves as a crucial morale booster and a tangible acknowledgment of the collective efforts of Bacolod's public sector employees.
