Mandaue's Traffic Agency Boosts Force with 40+ Newly Trained Personnel
Mandaue Traffic Agency Adds 40+ New Personnel

The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (Team) has significantly bolstered its operational capabilities by integrating more than 40 newly trained personnel into its ranks. These individuals are set to be deployed imminently to assist in managing traffic flow and apprehending violators throughout the entire city.

Addressing Critical Shortages in Enforcement

According to Team Department Head Hyll Retuya, this influx of fresh personnel will augment the agency's existing force, aiming to resolve the shortage of traffic enforcers, particularly in critical areas. Retuya emphasized that additional enforcers are essential to support both traffic management and the enforcement of regulations against violators.

Beyond directing vehicular movement, Team is also tasked with implementing traffic laws and ensuring order on major thoroughfares. Due to shift rotations in work schedules, there is a heightened need for more personnel to monitor the roads, in addition to those assigned to mobile and roving operations.

Comprehensive Training and Future Development

The new employees recently completed a rigorous three-day comprehensive training program. Their curriculum included various modules, pre-tests and post-tests, practical exercises, and a buddy system to facilitate hands-on learning.

Retuya expressed gratitude for the support from the Mandaue City Government under the leadership of Mayor Thadeo Jovito "Jonkie" Ouano. Currently, Team boasts over 400 personnel, and with the addition of these new members, the total force is expected to reach nearly 500 individuals. Most of them will be stationed on the streets, where the demand for enforcement is greatest.

In addition to the initial training, the personnel will undergo special training sessions in collaboration with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and orientations focused on local traffic ordinances to ensure comprehensive preparedness.
