Barangay Balibago Captain Jinqui “Boboy” Quiambao was laid to rest on Saturday, November 29. Prior to his burial, a necrological service was held to honor his life and dedicated public service. It was during this solemn gathering that Mayor Danilo Guintu publicly declared the financial incentive, aiming to accelerate the investigation into the brazen attack.
Mayor Guintu expressed the community's collective grief and resolve. “Bayu ya pu midala king tawli nang hantungan, memye tamu pung respetu at kapasalamatan king meging bie at serbisyu nang Kap. Jinqui Quiambao ning Balibago,” Guintu stated, honoring the captain's legacy before his final journey.

The local chief executive had earlier strongly condemned the violent incident. Reports indicate that Captain Quiambao was on his way home from the mayor's own birthday celebration when he was attacked, adding a layer of personal tragedy to the crime.
