Pampanga LGUs Achieve Success in Child-Friendly Governance Assessment
In a significant development for local governance, twenty local government units (LGUs) in Pampanga have successfully passed the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) and Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG). This achievement highlights their commitment to improving the welfare of children through effective programs and policies.
Comprehensive Audit Process
The audit was conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). It serves as a results-based assessment tool and an annual mandatory evaluation designed to measure the performance of LGUs in implementing initiatives that uplift children's well-being. The CFLGA and SCFLG are crucial instruments adopted by the Council for the Welfare of Children for conferring the Child-Friendly Local Governance recognition and by the Office of the President for awarding the Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Cities and Municipalities.
