Authorities in Pampanga have scored significant victories in the ongoing war against illegal drugs, conducting two successful operations that led to the arrest of key suspects and the confiscation of a substantial amount of shabu.

Top Ten Most Wanted Suspect Captured in Santa Rita

In a targeted operation, personnel from the Sta. Rita Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended a high-profile individual recently. The suspect, whose arrest marks a major breakthrough for local law enforcement, was ranked number 4 on the station's Top Ten Most Wanted List.

The arrest took place in Barangay San Jose, Santa Rita. Police served warrants related to serious violations under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The individual now faces charges for Section 5 (sale and distribution of illegal drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs).

Major Drug Haul in Floridablanca Operation

In a separate and simultaneous crackdown, police operatives in the town of Floridablanca conducted a buy-bust that resulted in the arrest of a street-level drug suspect. The operation was carried out at Purok 4, Barangay Calantas.

During the operation, authorities managed to confiscate more than 20 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride). The seized drugs have an estimated street value of P140,080, highlighting the scale of the illicit trade being disrupted.

Police Leadership Vows Sustained Campaign

Colonel Eugene Marcelo, the Provincial Director of the Pampanga Police Office, commended the operating units for their successful missions. He stated that these coordinated efforts underscore the police force's unwavering commitment to eradicating the drug menace in the province.

Colonel Marcelo emphasized that such operations are crucial components of a broader strategy aimed at curbing the supply of illegal drugs and ensuring safer, drug-free communities for all Kapampangans. The police leadership has vowed to sustain the pressure on drug personalities across all levels, from street-level peddlers to high-value targets.
