Two Arrested in Pampanga for Drugs and Theft

Police forces in Pampanga scored twin victories against crime this Saturday, with separate operations in Apalit and Mabalacat City leading to the arrest of two individuals for illegal drugs and theft.

Apalit Drug Bust Nets Suspect and Shabu

In a targeted operation in Apalit town, the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a buy-bust at 8:20 a.m. on November 29 in Barangay San Vicente. The operation successfully led to the apprehension of a suspect accused of violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities confiscated crucial evidence from the scene, including 1.55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱10,540. A marked ₱500 bill used in the undercover operation was also recovered.

Theft Suspect Apprehended in Mabalacat Piso Net Café

Meanwhile, in Mabalacat City, a different criminal activity was thwarted inside a piso net café located in Barangay Duquit. The incident unfolded when an employee, who was cleaning the establishment, reportedly witnessed a suspect taking money.

The alert employee quickly sought help from Bantay Bayan personnel, leading to the immediate arrest of the individual. Police reported that more than ₱5,000, believed to be stolen, was successfully recovered from the suspect.

Colonel Eugene Marcelo of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) disclosed the details of these arrests, highlighting the continued efforts of local police to combat both drug-related crimes and petty offenses. These operations demonstrate the police's commitment to maintaining peace and order in the province.
