In a significant law enforcement achievement, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) has apprehended more than 100 suspects during a three-day simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operation (Sacleo) conducted from March 6 to 8, 2026. This coordinated effort targeted various barangays across the city, resulting in multiple arrests and substantial drug seizures.

Major Drug Bust in Mambaling

One of the most notable accomplishments of the operation was the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at approximately P1.1 million in Sitio San Juan, Barangay Mambaling. The suspect, identified by the alias "Unga," is a 21-year-old resident of Sitio Riverside, Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City. Authorities recovered a substantial quantity of suspected shabu from the individual during the raid.

Additional Drug-Related Arrests

On March 6, 2026, police also arrested another drug suspect known by the alias "Bilat" in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita. During this apprehension, law enforcement officers seized shabu with an estimated street value of P340,000. These operations highlight the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and distribution within the city.

Capture of Most Wanted Persons

As part of their campaign against wanted individuals, the CCPO successfully captured four most wanted persons during the three-day operation. This aspect of the Sacleo demonstrates the police force's commitment to addressing both immediate criminal activities and long-standing warrants.

Police Lt. Col. Franco Rudolf Oriol, the deputy city director for administration at the Cebu City Police Office, explained that the agency launches Sacleo operations on a weekly basis.
