The suspect, known only by the alias Jack, was apprehended during a meticulously planned buy-bust operation conducted on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, around 4:45 p.m. on NIA Road in Barangay Pandac, Pavia, Iloilo.

Details of the Arrest and Seizure

The 46-year-old suspect, identified as a married and unemployed resident of Surallah, South Cotabato, was temporarily staying in Passi City, Iloilo at the time of his arrest. Police have classified him as a high-value individual due to his previous arrest for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, in South Cotabato. This rearrest underscores the ongoing efforts to combat repeat offenders in the illegal drug trade.

Evidence and Operation Coordination

Seized from the suspect's possession were eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 120 grams of suspected shabu. Additionally, authorities recovered buy-bust money, proceeds from illicit activities, and other non-drug items. The operation was a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit in Western Visayas, the Regional Investigation Division 6, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit in Western Visayas, and the Pavia Municipal Police Station.

Following the arrest, the suspect was placed under the custody of the Pavia Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
