A former barangay chairman officially assumed his new role as a member of the Sangguniang Bayan in Candaba town on Monday, May 18.
Oath-Taking Ceremony
Governor Lilia Pineda administered the oath of office to Marino Macapagal, who previously served as Barangay San Agustin Captain. He now fills the position of municipal councilor, replacing former Councilor Elmer Gonzales, who resigned due to personal reasons.

The event was witnessed by Vice Governor Dennis Pineda, Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque, Vice Mayor Thelma C. Macapagal, other municipal councilors, and San Agustin Barangay Captain Billy Pamintuan.
Macapagal's Commitment
In his speech, Macapagal expressed readiness to serve his fellow Candabeños. He vowed to craft ordinances and policies aimed at improving residents' lives and contributing to the municipality's development.
