According to P/Maj. Antonio Marzan, chief of the Pinili Municipal Police Station, the victim, identified as Alejandre Arzadon, owner of a carinderia, was found in Barangay Darat, Pinili town. The discovery was made early in the morning, sending shockwaves through the area.
Jerryson Saludez, the victim's son-in-law, reported that Arzadon typically left home between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM to prepare his carinderia for the day. However, at around 6:00 AM, Saludez was stunned to find Arzadon tied by the neck to the handle of a freezer at the establishment.
Investigation and Family's Response
Initial reports indicate that the victim was wearing a gold ring and watch, but it remains unclear if any money was stolen. The family noted that Arzadon often carried cash, adding to the suspicion of theft. This marks the third time the carinderia has been targeted in a robbery, raising alarms about security in the locality.
