Iloilo City Inaugurates Ninth Icare Center to Strengthen Emergency Response and Public Services
On April 1, 2026, Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas led the opening of the ninth Iloilo City Action and Resilience Center, located in Bankers Village IV, Barangay Jaro District. This new facility aims to enhance emergency response capabilities and bring public services closer to residents through more efficient and coordinated operations.
Mayor Treñas Emphasizes Commitment to Public Service
Mayor Raisa Treñas highlighted that the Icare Center represents more than just a government building—it is a promise to every Ilonggo that assistance will be readily accessible. "This is not merely a government facility. It is a commitment to each Ilonggo that help will be brought closer to them," Treñas stated. "With this new Icare Center, we can accelerate our response times and make services more accessible to our citizens. Additionally, we plan to install a substation in front of Jaro Plaza to further support our efforts."
Facility Details and Operational Structure
The newly inaugurated Icare Center occupies a 3,200-square-meter lot with a 600-square-meter floor area. It will operate 24/7, staffed by personnel from the Iloilo City Police Station 3, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. This setup ensures continuous and coordinated emergency response, providing round-the-clock support to the community.

The new center in Bankers Village IV joins eight existing Icare Centers located in:
- So-oc
- Ungka
- Calumpang
- Balantang
- Tanza-Esperanza
- Nabitasan
- ICC Gaisano
- Megaworld
Collaborative Efforts for Public Safety and Disaster Readiness
The expansion of the Icare Center network reflects strong collaboration between the Iloilo City Government and partner agencies. This partnership is dedicated to promoting public safety and enhancing disaster readiness across the city. Officials emphasized that through ongoing cooperation among national government agencies, local officials, and private partners, Iloilo City remains committed to expanding services and building a more resilient, stronger, and safer environment for all Ilonggos.
This initiative marks a significant step in Iloilo City's efforts to improve emergency preparedness and public service delivery, ensuring that residents have access to timely assistance and support in times of need.
