Iloilo Police Officer Honored with Medalya ng Kasanayan During Women's Month Kick-off
In a significant ceremony marking the start of National Women's Month 2026, Police Lieutenant Colonel Lindley Barrientos, deputy city director for administration of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), was awarded the prestigious Medalya ng Kasanayan. The event, held on March 4, 2026, at the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp General Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City, celebrated the contributions of women in law enforcement and public service.
Recognition of Leadership and Dedication
Barrientos, who serves as the second-in-command at the ICPO, was among ten female police officers honored for their exemplary leadership and service within the Philippine National Police (PNP). Police Colonel Wilbert Parilla, officer-in-charge of the ICPO, extended heartfelt congratulations, praising Barrientos for her competence, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. "Your leadership exemplifies the values we uphold, and this recognition inspires us to further strengthen our Gender and Development initiatives," Parilla stated, emphasizing the ICPO's dedication to women's welfare through equal opportunities and safe working environments.

Theresa Malones-Sanchez, Gender and Development focal person and public relations officer of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Iloilo Chapter, as the guest of honor and speaker.
