In a significant anti-drug operation, authorities in Iloilo City have apprehended a traffic enforcer identified as a high-value individual during a buy-bust conducted in Barangay Camalig, Jaro District. The arrest, which took place on March 16, 2026, around 11:10 a.m., followed nearly three weeks of intensive surveillance by law enforcement agencies.

During the operation, police confiscated approximately 60 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P408,000. The seized items included five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing the illegal substance. Additionally, buy-bust money and other non-drug items were recovered from the suspect's possession.

The suspect, known by the alias Saad, is a 39-year-old traffic enforcer and resident of Jaro District. He was arrested after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative. Authorities have confirmed that he is currently under police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
