President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. launched a new digital platform aimed at making all government funds more open, accessible, and accountable to the public. The system, called the Centralized Open Monitoring Platform for Appropriations and Spending Statistics (DBM COMPASS), was developed by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

During the launch, the President also led the strengthening of the updated Philippine Public Financial Management Reform Roadmap 2024–2028 to further enhance the country's financial management. According to President Marcos, public money is for the people, so every Filipino has the right to see and monitor where their hard-earned taxes go.
Through DBM COMPASS, the public will have an online portal containing interactive charts to easily find budgets, obligations, and actual funds released by each agency and region. The Chief Executive said that proper fund management has a direct impact on the rapid construction of schools, better hospitals, assistance to farmers and fishermen, and implementation of projects even in remote areas.
Government expands Project DIME
President Marcos emphasized that the government has also expanded Project DIME, which uses satellites to monitor infrastructure projects across the country. He ordered all government agencies to align their budgets with the nation's key priorities and improve their reporting and monitoring of projects.
He stressed that to maintain public trust, it is not enough that the budget is correct on paper; it must be felt by the people. The launch of DBM COMPASS is part of the government's commitment to transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
