The suspect, identified only as "Noynoy," a 31-year-old laborer residing in Barangay Tolarucan, was apprehended after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer posing as a buyer. Authorities recovered a total of 100 grams of the illicit substance, packaged in multiple plastic sachets, along with the buy-bust money and other non-drug related items. The operation was spearheaded by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) under the leadership of Lieutenant Redan Octaviano, following a month of intensive surveillance based on tips from vigilant community members.

Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, Director of the Police Regional Office-Western Visayas (PRO 6), praised the operating team for their diligence and effectiveness.
