PDEA 7 and Police Conduct Successful Drug Den Raid in Cebu City

In a coordinated operation on Wednesday evening, March 25, 2026, personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 and the Inayawan Police Station 7 raided a suspected drug den in Sityo Lower Sto. Niño, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City. The raid resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of illegal substances and paraphernalia.

Details of the Arrests and Seizures

According to PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza, the primary target of the operation was an individual known by the alias "Mark," aged 42, who is alleged to have been operating the drug den. During the raid, authorities also apprehended two other men found inside the premises: alias "Franklin," 53, a driver, and alias "Ronel," 41, a sidewalk vendor. All three suspects are residents of the area.

During the operation, law enforcement officers confiscated seven packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 15 grams, with an estimated street value of P102,000. Additionally, buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia were recovered as evidence.

Background and Investigation

Leia Alcantara, the information officer for PDEA 7, explained that the operation followed a two-week case buildup targeting alias Mark, initiated after authorities received reliable information. Background investigations revealed that the suspect was allegedly capable of disposing 20 to 30 grams of shabu per week. It was also noted that Mark had previously been arrested in September 2021 for similar drug-related charges.

The seized evidence has been placed under the custody of the PDEA 7 Regional Office Laboratory for further analysis. Meanwhile, the suspects are currently detained at the PDEA 7 office in Sudlon, Barangay Lahug, awaiting the filing of charges for violations under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
