PDEA Dismantles Suspected Drug Den in Mabalacat City, Three Individuals Arrested
In a significant anti-drug operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully dismantled a suspected drug den located in Barangay Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City. The operation, which took place on the night of Monday, March 2, 2026, was a coordinated buy-bust sting that led to the immediate closure of the illicit establishment.
Arrests and Seizures in the Anti-Drug Sting
During the meticulously planned operation, PDEA operatives apprehended three individuals allegedly involved in the drug trade. The primary suspect, identified only as "Rolly," aged 52, is believed to be the operator of the drug den. Additionally, two other persons, "Abet," 46, and "Kokoy," 23, were taken into custody for their suspected roles in the illegal activities.
Authorities confiscated a substantial amount of evidence from the scene. This included seven sachets containing approximately six grams of shabu, a dangerous drug with an estimated street value of P40,800. Furthermore, assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money used in the operation were seized, providing critical proof for the ongoing investigation.
Collaborative Efforts and Legal Charges
The operation was a joint effort, with the Mabalacat City police station providing crucial assistance to PDEA Provincial Offices from Tarlac and Pampanga. This collaboration underscores the multi-agency approach being employed to combat drug-related crimes in the region, ensuring a more comprehensive and effective response to such threats.
Following the arrests, the suspects are now facing serious legal consequences. The alleged drug den operator, "Rolly," is being charged with non-bailable offenses under Republic Act 9165, specifically for violation of Section 5, which pertains to the sale of dangerous drugs, and Section 6, concerning the maintenance of a den, dive, or resort. Authorities have confirmed that similar charges under the same law will be filed against the two other suspects, "Abet" and "Kokoy," highlighting the stringent legal actions being taken against all individuals involved in the drug trade.
This operation marks a continued effort by Philippine authorities to crack down on drug dens and related activities, aiming to disrupt the supply chain and reduce the prevalence of illegal drugs in communities across the country.
