PRO 7 Commemorates Philippine National Police Day 2026 with Prestigious Awards

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 in Central Visayas celebrated Philippine National Police Day 2026 with a grand ceremony on Monday, February 23, 2026. The event, held at the PRO 7 headquarters in Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr. on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City, was themed “Serbisyong Nararamdaman, Kapulisan Maasahan” (Service Felt, Police Reliable), emphasizing the force's commitment to public trust and service.

Recognition of Top Police Officers

During the celebration, several officers were honored for their outstanding contributions. Police Colonel Regie Real, the Acting Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, was named Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration. In operations, Police Colonel Kimberly Molitas, head of the Regional Community Affairs Development Division, received the award for Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations.

For junior commissioned officers, Police Lieutenant Colonel Verniño Noserale, chief of the Naga City Police Station, was recognized as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration. Meanwhile, Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilfredo Tanaran Jr. from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit earned the title of Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations.

Awards for Non-Commissioned and Non-Uniformed Personnel

The accolades extended to non-commissioned officers, with Police Executive Master Sergeant Mary Ruth Burlat of the Regional Headquarters named Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration. Police Master Sergeant Joel Orapa from the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) was honored as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations.

In the junior non-commissioned category, Police Staff Sgt. Reynald Gimagan of the Mandaue City Police Office received the award for administration, while Police Staff Sgt. Luwen Refulle from BPPO was recognized for operations. Additionally, NUP Jessie Ogao-Ogao from the Guadalupe Police Station 8 at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) was named Best Non-Uniformed Personnel Non-Supervisory Level.

Honors for Police Units and Stations

The event also highlighted top-performing police units across Central Visayas. The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) was declared Best Provincial Police Office, and the Mandaue City Police Office received the award for Best City Police Office. At the station level, the Tagbilaran City Police Station was named Best Component City Police Station, and the Loon Municipal Police Station was recognized as Best Municipal Police Station in Bohol.

For mobile force companies, the City Mobile Force Company of CCPO was awarded Best City Mobile Force Company, and the Bohol Provincial Mobile Force Company was honored as Best Provincial Mobile Force Company. These recognitions underscore the dedication and efficiency of law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and order throughout the region.
