Speaker Dy urges equal dignity, respect for all this Pride Month

Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III is urging for a society where every Filipino enjoys equal dignity, respect, and opportunity without discrimination, as the nation observes Pride Month.

Message of Inclusion and Respect

In a video message, Dy emphasized that Pride Month celebrates the courage to be true to oneself and reminds everyone that each person has a vital place in society. He stressed that regardless of a person’s background, beliefs, or identity, these should never be grounds for belittlement or discrimination.

“Respect for human dignity is a right for all, not a privilege for a few,” Dy said.

True Equality Through Freedom

According to the House leader, true equality is achieved when every citizen can freely contribute their talents and work toward their dreams without fear of judgment. He added that communities become stronger and more united when acceptance and compassion prevail.

Dy congratulated the LGBTQIA+ community and encouraged all Filipinos to work together to build a more inclusive and just future for everyone.
