Cebu Police Personnel Undergo Random Drug Test for Internal Cleansing
Cebu Police Drug Test: 45 Personnel Tested

Personnel of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) underwent a surprise drug test on Thursday, May 14, 2026. This is in compliance with the directive from the National Headquarters as part of the ongoing internal cleansing program of the police force.

Police Colonel Abubakar Mangelen Jr., the provincial police director, led the testing. A total of 45 personnel inside the CPPO camp were subjected to the random drug test.

According to Col. Mangelen, the move was made to prove that the provincial police have no involvement in the use of illegal drugs. He added that this demonstrates the CPPO's commitment to professionalism, discipline, and integrity in public service.

"By ensuring that our personnel remain drug-free, we strengthen public trust and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in the police service," Mangelen said.

Although the CPPO Director is confident that his personnel are clean, he warned that anyone who tests positive for shabu or any other illegal drug will face serious consequences.
