School Principal Jene Babe Pitac told SunStar Cebu that the tent classrooms quickly absorb water when it rains. During the latest incident, rainwater entered the tents and reached electrical outlets, posing safety risks.

Municipal Government Acquires Land

Mayor Cesar “Didoy” Suan said in a separate interview that the municipal government has purchased a 400-square-meter lot where permanent classrooms will be constructed. He added that he has sought assistance from Congresswoman Daphne Lagon for additional school buildings, which are included in the proposed 2027 congressional budget to serve more students.
