In a demonstration of solidarity, the top police official in the Negros Island Region personally led a relief operation for displaced families in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.

Police Chief Hands Out Essential Supplies

Brigadier General Arnold Thomas Ibay, director of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), distributed crucial assistance to evacuees at the Don Generoso M. Villanueva Elementary School in Barangay Sag-ang on November 29, 2025.

The police general personally handed out five-kilogram packs of rice to each family. The outreach also included snacks and slippers specifically for the children staying at the evacuation center.

General Ibay stated that the initiative was a clear reflection of PRO-NIR's commitment to extend compassion to families affected by recent challenging events. He emphasized that the police regional office stands firmly beside communities when they are in need.
