The University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) is set to appoint former PBA player Roger Yap as the new head coach of its college basketball team, the Jaguars, for the upcoming season of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi).
Coaching Changes at USJ-R
Although the appointment has not yet been finalized, Yap has already been given the green light to recruit players to replace those who have left the Jaguars' roster. He will take over from Julius Cadavis, who has been coaching the school's high school team for the past two years. Additionally, USJ-R has hired veteran coach Edito Salacut to lead the high school team. Like Yap, Salacut is also tasked with recruiting players to fill the vacancies left by departing high school players.
