Chinese boxer Dianxing Zhu is set to arrive in Cebu on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. for his crucial fight in Cebu City. He will be accompanied by his manager Robin Wang and 11 other compatriots who will support him in his bout against Filipino Ian Paul Abne in the main event of the boxing event “Fist of Fury 10 - The Eliminator” scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the New Cebu Coliseum.
Cebu sportsman Lorenzo “Chao” Sy, the promoter of the event, stated that more of Zhu’s compatriots will arrive on Friday, May 8. “There are about 29 of them coming here,” said Sy, owner of Chao Sy International Promotions.
Zhu brings a fiery challenge as he aims to defeat Abne in their fight, which is an International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimum weight title eliminator. The winner will become the mandatory contender for IBF minimum weight champion Filipino Pedro Taduran.
Zhu’s threat carries weight as he is known as a knockout puncher with an aggressive style. However, Abne has dismissed Zhu’s challenge. The camp of Abne, who is part of the Cebu-based ARQ boxing stable, emphasized that they have trained hard and are confident of victory.
Zhu holds a record of 16 wins, 1 loss, and 14 knockouts, while Abne boasts an undefeated record of 12 wins, 0 losses, and 4 knockouts.
