The Mandaue Ball Club (MBC) has taken a significant step toward securing a direct semifinal berth after overpowering the Talisay Basketball Association (TBA), 92-74, in the Power 60 Friendship Cup basketball tournament held recently at the Pardo Sports Complex in Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City.
MBC Takes Solo Lead
With the victory, MBC surged to the top of the standings with a clean 4-0 record. To guarantee a spot in the semifinals of this tournament for senior citizens, MBC needs only one more win in its remaining two games.
Challenges Ahead
However, MBC cannot afford to celebrate prematurely, as its next two opponents are formidable: Lagtang Basketball Gold and Power Forty. Both teams are known for their strong play and could pose a serious threat to MBC's undefeated run.
On the other side, TBA dropped to a 1-2 record following the loss.
