Clark Duathlon Classic 2026 Celebrates 7th Edition with Over 300 Athletes

The GoRacePH Clark Duathlon Classic made a triumphant return on March 22, 2026, gathering more than 300 multisport athletes from across the Philippines for a day of intense competition, camaraderie, and community engagement at Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City within the Clark Freeport. Now in its seventh year, this event has evolved from a local gathering into a cornerstone of the Philippine endurance sports calendar, attracting participants from Metro Manila, various provinces, and the broader Luzon region.

A Staple in Endurance Racing with Accessible Appeal

Race Director Jumbo Tayag emphasized the event's longevity and its role in introducing newcomers to multisport. "Reaching our 7th edition is a point of pride for us. The Clark Duathlon Classic has proven its staying power, and that consistency builds trust with athletes annually. Moreover, duathlon serves as one of the most accessible entry points into multisport—eliminating the swim component and focusing on run and bike segments—making it easier for individuals to take their first step into the sport," he explained.

Athlete Services Director Abe Tayag highlighted the team's dedication to delivering a top-notch race experience. "From meticulous race operations to comprehensive athlete support, our objective is always to ensure a safe, organized, and memorable event for every participant. Witnessing athletes cross the finish line strong and satisfied validates all our hard work," he shared.

Competitive Highlights and Podium Finishers

Athletes tackled two challenging categories: the Sprint Distance, comprising a 5K run, 20K bike, and 2.5K run, and the Standard Distance, featuring a 10K run, 40K bike, and 5K run, all set against the lush, scenic backdrop of Clark.

Team Go For Gold dominated the Sprint Distance podium. John Patrick Ciron secured First Male honors with a time of 1:00:31, breaking down as Run 1: 16:44, Bike: 34:28, and Run 2: 8:08. Merry Joy Trupa claimed First Female with a time of 1:11:23, detailed as Run 1: 20:22, Bike: 39:23, and Run 2: 10:14.

In the Standard Distance, Go For Gold's Raymund Torio finished first among male athletes, clocking in at 2:03:55 with splits of Run 1: 36:44, Bike: 1:07:37, and Run 2: 18:18. TriClark Team's Mitch Otsuru-Park earned First Female honors, completing the grueling 10K-40K-5K course in 2:48:55.

Community Spirit and Economic Boost

Beyond the competition, the Clark Duathlon Classic served as a vibrant celebration of the multisport community. Athletes, families, supporters, and volunteers converged at Filinvest Mimosa+ to share in the race day excitement.

The event also delivered a significant economic impact for the local area. Hotels, restaurants, and businesses benefited from the influx of participants and their companions, many of whom traveled from Metro Manila and other provinces to race and extend their stay. For instance, Quest Plus Conference Center Clark offered exclusive rates to registered athletes, encouraging multi-day visits and boosting regional tourism.

Strong Partner Support and Future Events

The 2026 Clark Duathlon Classic was made possible through robust partner support. Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City acted as the Official Host Venue Partner, providing the stunning grounds integral to the race experience. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority and Clark Freeport continued their backing as Official Venue Partners, reinforcing the event's deep roots in the Clark community.

On the ground, a diverse roster of event partners enhanced the race day:
