Alyssa Valdez will lead the 20-woman national volleyball pool from which the players comprising the Alas Pilipinas lineup for the 2026 AVC Women's Cup will be selected. The tournament is scheduled to take place next month in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
National Pool Announced
The national pool, recently announced by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), consists of a mix of veteran players and newcomers.
Key Players in the Pool
Valdez's Creamline teammates Kyle Negrito, Kyla Atienza, and Tots Carlos are also included in the pool. Other Premier Volleyball League (PVL) stars such as Ces Molina, Honey Royse Tubino, Trisha Tubu, Jov Gonzaga, Alyssa Eroa, Thea Gagate, Cloanne Mondoñedo, and Ara Garang are part of the selection as well.
A collegiate star is also included in the pool.
Pool A Composition
Alas Pilipinas is placed in Pool A alongside Chinese Taipei, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, and Uzbekistan.
