The rematch between Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and American Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been rescheduled and moved to a new venue, according to a report from www.boxingscene.com.
New Date and Venue
Originally set for September 19, 2026, the highly anticipated fight will now take place on September 26. Reports from last week indicated that the bout would no longer be held at the Sphere in Las Vegas, USA. Instead, it is expected to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the same venue where the two boxers first faced off on May 2, 2015. In that fight, Mayweather won by unanimous decision.
Mayweather's Preferred Venue
The MGM Grand is reportedly Mayweather's preferred venue, having fought there for 12 consecutive bouts from 2007 to 2015. Mayweather, now 49, holds a perfect record of 50-0 with 27 knockouts, while Pacquiao, 47, has a record of 62-8-3 with 39 knockouts.
Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting this second showdown between two of the greatest boxers of all time.
