Alex Eala to Meet Fans in Manila Homecoming
Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala is scheduled for a homecoming fan meet this July 2026, as announced by Globe Telecom. The Alex Eala Fan Meet Experience will take place on July 16 at 4:00 PM at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
Historic Wimbledon Campaign
Eala recently concluded her inspiring and historic campaign at the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon. She advanced to the fourth round, defeating defending champion and World No. 3 Iga Swiatek of Poland along the way.
Ranking Points and Prize Money
Beyond putting the Philippines on the tennis map, Eala earned 240 ranking points from the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and a substantial prize of US$396,000 (approximately P25 million).
Current Ranking and Future Prospects
Eala is currently ranked World No. 32 but is expected to climb higher due to her deep run at Wimbledon. The homecoming event is organized by Globe Telecom, which has been supporting her career.
