This decisive win unfolded in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (Cesafi) 12-under basketball tournament at the University of San Carlos (USC) gym on Sanciangko Street, Cebu City, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Under the guidance of coach Mark Anthony Tallo, the Baby Dragons tightened their grip on the tournament leadership. This latest triumph solidified their undefeated status, pushing their impressive record to a perfect 3-0. The team's performance sends a clear message to all contenders about their determination to retain the championship crown.

Game Breakdown: A Surge of Offensive Firepower

The match did not start at a blistering pace for the Dragons, who took some time to find their rhythm. However, once their offense ignited, they became unstoppable. A powerful run allowed them to establish a dominant 31-15 lead, setting the tone for the remainder of the contest.

Their dominance only grew in the second half, where they exploded further to widen the gap to a staggering 38 points, leading 67-29 at one stage. The offensive charge was spearheaded by Perseus Kallyx Berame, who poured in a team-high 16 points. He received solid support from Francis Jeevan Macalisang, who contributed 13 points to the winning effort.

Other Tournament Action: SCSC and SHS-Atendeo Secure Wins

The day's event featured other lopsided victories in the young athletes' tournament. In the premier game, the San Carlos School of Cebu (SCSC) Baby Warriors handily defeated the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguar Cubs with a final score of 53-31.

Furthermore, in the main game, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles delivered a powerful performance, overwhelming the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Greywolves by a wide margin of 67-40.
