Starting November 18, 2025, Maya credit cardholders can now add their cards directly to the Google Wallet application on their Android devices. This powerful integration allows users to make purchases by simply tapping their phones at any contactless payment terminal worldwide that accepts Visa or Mastercard. This move effectively turns a smartphone into a digital wallet for credit card transactions, eliminating the need to carry the physical card.

Shailesh Baidwan, the Group President of Maya, emphasized the significance of this development. He stated that this collaboration makes the tap-to-pay experience "truly frictionless," highlighting the strength of Maya's combined payments and banking infrastructure in delivering this seamless service.

Future Expansions and Market Impact

The initial rollout focuses on Maya's credit cards, but the platform has confirmed that support for its prepaid cards and deeper in-app integrations are next in the pipeline. This phased approach ensures a smooth rollout while promising more features for a wider user base in the near future.
