Around 3,000 habal-habal drivers from the second and seventh districts have received fuel subsidy assistance from the Cebu Provincial Government. The Capitol announced that 1,000 habal-habal drivers from the municipalities of Argao, Santander, and Samboan have already received the P3,000 provincial aid. Meanwhile, another 2,000 drivers from Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian, and Moalboal also received the same amount.
Earlier, the Capitol announced the distribution of aid for sectors not included in national assistance, especially amid the ongoing crisis due to the Middle East conflict. In addition to the cash aid, each beneficiary also received 10 kilograms of rice. The Capitol assured that other localities will follow in the coming days. The distribution of aid is said to have undergone careful screening and processing to ensure that those most in need are prioritized.
