Aboitiz InfraCapital Wins Most Innovative Award Again

Aboitiz InfraCapital Secures Second Consecutive Most Innovative Infrastructure Award at IFA 2025

Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. (AIC), the infrastructure investment arm of the Aboitiz Group, has once again been recognized as the Most Innovative Infrastructure Investment Company in the Philippines at the recent International Finance Awards (IFA) 2025. This prestigious distinction marks the second time AIC has received this honor, following its initial win in 2024, underscoring its sustained commitment to innovation and excellence in the infrastructure sector.

A Commitment to Consistent Innovation and Sustainable Development

In response to the award, AIC President and Chief Executive Officer Cosette V. Canilao emphasized that this recognition affirms innovation as a core discipline within the company. "This second recognition by the International Finance Awards affirms that innovation at AIC is not a one-off achievement, but a discipline we consistently practice. We continue to invest in transformative infrastructure ecosystems that are future-ready, sustainable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the country," Canilao stated. The award, presented by International Finance, a premium UK-based business and finance magazine, celebrates financial institutions for outstanding performance, leadership, and path-breaking initiatives in areas such as corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.

Celebrating a Decade of Impact Across Key Sectors

The repeat recognition is particularly significant as AIC celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025, highlighting its long-term focus on innovation, value creation, and responsible infrastructure development. AIC operates across three key sectors:

  • Water: Through its subsidiary Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc., AIC manages the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project, the largest bulk water supply facility in the Philippines, and supports community initiatives like #AmpinganPaniganTamugan and Project Blue.
  • Airports: AIC Airports expanded its operations in 2025 with the launch of Bohol-Panglao and Laguindingan International Airports, complementing the award-winning Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), which was named Airport of the Year in Asia.
  • Digital Infrastructure: Unity Digital, a partnership with Partners Group, grew to nearly 3,000 points of service in 2025, enhancing nationwide connectivity.

AIC's integrated approach combines strategic investments, operational excellence, and partnerships with public and private stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions that foster inclusive growth and national development. This portfolio reflects a deliberate effort to build scalable platforms with lasting economic and social impact, reinforcing AIC's role as a leader in the Philippine infrastructure landscape.
