The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Pampanga has successfully executed a significant operation resulting in the seizure of counterfeit Crocs footwear with an estimated value of ₱133 million. This major bust occurred on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Apalit, Pampanga, as part of the ongoing Oplan Megashopper initiative.

Details of the Operation

The operation was authorized under Search Warrant No. 26-37066, which was issued by Judge Phillip Charles G. Santos of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46. CIDG operatives targeted a warehouse located within the Golden Haojia Industrial Compound, reportedly operated by an individual known by the alias "GM." During the search, authorities discovered and recovered large volumes of counterfeit Crocs footwear, along with various equipment and assorted documents related to the illicit operation.

Additional Findings and Legal Violations

In addition to the counterfeit Crocs, the CIDG team also found suspected counterfeit footwear resembling Adidas products. These items will undergo thorough product verification to confirm their authenticity. Notably, warehouse personnel failed to present any permits or documentation proving the legality of their operations, further highlighting the illicit nature of the activities conducted at the site.

Official Statement and Commitment

Colonel Grant A. Gollod, representing CIDG Pampanga, emphasized the importance of this operation in a statement. We will continue to conduct decisive actions against individuals and groups involved in counterfeiting and illicit trade." This statement underscores the agency's dedication to combating illegal trade practices that harm both consumers and legitimate businesses.

Impact and Future Actions

The seizure of ₱133 million worth of counterfeit goods marks a substantial blow to the counterfeit footwear market in the region. It serves as a clear warning to other entities engaged in similar illegal activities. The CIDG's proactive measures under Oplan Megashopper demonstrate their ongoing efforts to enforce the law and protect the economic interests of the Philippines. Future operations are expected to continue targeting such illicit trade networks to ensure a fair and safe marketplace for all consumers.
