SM City Davao and SM Lanang shared smiles and comfort by distributing the SM Besties of Joy to a total of 1,430 beneficiaries across various communities and institutions in the city.

Recipients included indigenous children from Barangay Tapak in Paquibato District, young residents at the DSWD Home for the Girls, and kids attending the Project Hope Day Care Center. To ensure the plush toys reached every intended recipient, the malls collaborated with several partner organizations. The initiative operates on a powerful Buy-One-Donate-One model. For every Bestie of Joy plush toy purchased by a customer at the mall, SM Cares pledges to donate another identical toy to a child in need through its network of partner charities. This model effectively doubles the impact of every sale, creating a community-driven cycle of generosity.
