Cebu Officials Propose Airport, Coastal Road, Sports Complex for 4th District
Cebu 4th District Plans: Airport, Road, Sports Complex

An airport, a coastal road from north to south, and a world-class sports complex are being planned for the fourth district of Cebu by Cebu Fourth District Congressman Sun Shimura and Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro. This was revealed during the governor's interview with the congressman while distributing aid to residents affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Cebu.

Economic Development and Job Creation

According to Baricuatro, the plan aims to boost the province's economy, generate more jobs, and help localities recover from the disaster they experienced. The government also intends to build the largest sports complex, which will be located in Bogo City, similar to the Clark sports hub in Pampanga. It was previously proposed in Naga City but is undergoing a feasibility assessment.

Disaster Resilience

Baricuatro emphasized that one of the assurances in constructing these buildings is that they can withstand earthquakes and other calamities. The structures must be built to the highest standards to ensure safety and longevity.
