The Cebu Provincial School Board (CPSB) has approved a PHP 367.9 million supplemental budget for 2026, paving the way for the construction of additional classrooms and the improvement of school facilities across Cebu Province.

Funding Sources and Key Allocations

Through the Special Education Fund (SEF), the additional funding will support ongoing education initiatives, including the province-wide school feeding program, the establishment of smart classrooms, mobile learning, and other projects. Out of the total budget, PHP 100 million is allocated for the feeding program, while another PHP 100 million will be used for constructing new classrooms.

Feeding Program Implementation

The Capitol announced that it has coordinated with the Provincial Nutrition Action Officer to develop an implementation strategy for the feeding program. This aims to avoid adding to the burdens of teachers and parents.
