472 Charter Link Clark Employees Get Separation Pay Ahead of Job Fair
Charter Link Clark Workers Receive Separation Packages

The vast majority of workers impacted by the shutdown of Charter Link Clark, Inc. have now obtained their complete separation benefits, according to a recent announcement from the Clark Development Corporation (CDC). This positive development comes just before a major job fair aimed at helping these individuals secure new employment.

Separation Packages Successfully Distributed

Clark Development Corporation reported on Tuesday that 472 out of 477 affected employees have received their separation packages. This figure represents 98.95 percent of the company's workforce. The update marks significant progress from the initial report on December 29, which listed 399 beneficiaries. An additional 73 employees have since been processed, bringing the total close to full coverage.

In a formal letter to CDC President Agnes Devanadera, Charter Link Human Resources Manager Maribel Yambao confirmed the distribution. The comprehensive packages included several key components designed to support the departing staff. Employees received their legally mandated separation pay, pro-rated 13th month pay, the cash equivalent of any unused leave credits, and an additional one month's salary.

Management Expresses Gratitude and Commitment

Maribel Yambao used the correspondence to thank the CDC for its crucial support during this difficult transition period for the company and its staff. "On behalf of Charter Link Management, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support and assistance, especially in this challenging period we are in now," Yambao wrote.

She further emphasized the company's dedication to handling the closure process with integrity. The management "remains committed to ensuring that the process is carried out fairly, transparently, and with respect for all concerned." This statement underscores the effort to conclude operations responsibly.

Job Fair Offers Path to New Employment

To directly assist the displaced workers, the CDC, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), has organized a job fair. The event is scheduled for January 9, 2026, strategically timed after the distribution of separation funds.

The agencies have invited various locators and companies operating within the Clark Freeport Zone to participate. These employers will offer available positions to the former Charter Link Clark employees and other job seekers. The job fair will be held at the Clark Events and Conference Hall, located beside the Clark Museum parking lot, providing a central and accessible venue for the event.

This proactive measure by CDC and DOLE aims to bridge the gap between job loss and new employment, helping to stabilize the local labor market following the company's closure. The high rate of separation package distribution ensures workers have some financial security as they pursue these new opportunities.
